SONS OF THE BEACH

The original SONS OF THE BEACH was a 6pc band that was formed in 1981 in Nashville, TN. The group performed all over the U.S. as well as the Caribbean and Mexico. The band also performed on many National and International TV shows as well as appearing in movies.

Not only is the SONS OF THE BEACH known as Nashville's premiere "oldies" band playing the hits from the 50's through the 80"s, the band also plays Carolina beach music. They recorded two albums, "Cayman Vacation" and "Party In Paradise" yielding such beach music hits as "Carolina Man", "Southern Belle", "Coupe De Ville" and the beach classic "I've Still Got Sand In My Shoes".

Recently, the anchor beach music radio station THE SURF 94.9 based in N. Myrtle Beach, SC, ran a summer contest for the top 40 all time classic beach music records. STEVE JARRELL & THE SONS OF THE BEACH came in at #8 for their classic "I've Still Got Sand In My Shoes"!
