The Sons Of The Beach story

The original SONS OF THE BEACH was a 6pc band that was formed in 1981 in Nashville, TN.  The group performed all over the U.S. as well as the Caribbean and Mexico.  The band also performed on many National and International TV shows as well as appearing in movies.  They recorded two albums, "Cayman Vacation" and "Party In Paradise" yielding such beach music hits as "Carolina Man", "Southern Belle", "Coupe de Ville" and the beach classic "I've Still Got Sand In My Shoes".

After a 35 years run, STEVE JARRELL, a founding member of the group and leader, semi- retired the group.  The group does appear occasionally for special engagements.

The SONS OF THE BEACH, now based in Virginia, continue to entertain audiences throughout the Southeast as a duo.

STEVE JARRELL has teamed up with LEE QUISENBERRY, former leader of the "FAT AMMON BAND". Also known as "FAB".  The group  was one of the hottest  beach groups in the Southeast for over 20 years.

Together Steve and Lee are lead singers and double on various instruments.  With the aid of sophisticated electronic equipment, this two band provide the sound of an entire band.

For an enjoyable trip down memory lane with music from the 50's, 60's, and 70's as well as Carolina beach tunes, please consider the SONS OF THE BEACH duo for your listening and dancing pleasure.
